Our History

The Wildlife League of Ohio County was established in 1918 in response to a decrease in our fish and wildlife resources and the abuse of our forests, soils, and water. Chartered on March 15, 1939, and Incorporated on April 29, 1939, the Wildlife League has always stood for better hunting and fishing, better landowner/sportsmen relationships, better conservation education and better conservation legislation.

Our Pledge

We pledge to uphold, conserve, and urge wise use of our natural resources, which include soil, unpolluted waters, forests, vegetation, fish, wildlife, scenic and recreational reservations; to improve and restore, fish, game, and its habitat.
